Iris Hamlyn, MBA

Executive Director

Iris Hamlyn has been employed in the role since February 2014 and previously was an active member of the SideDoor Board of Directors for more than nine (9) years. Having lived in Yellowknife since 1999, Iris is a detailed, organized professional who has extensive experience working for government (GNWT), non-government (Salvation Army and SideDoor) and mining (RioTinto), including Aboriginal Organizations (Det’on Cho Corporation). In 2012 Iris completed a Master of Business Administration Degree and is committed to life-long learning. She specializes in strategic planning for best practice and policy implementation. Iris has been active in providing services to youth, and is passionate about preventing, reducing and ending homelessness for youth.
